Katie Stewart, Marketing/Public Relations Specialist & Health Advocate

As a health advocate intrigued by the importance of adequate nutrition, she has studied the increasing prevalence of childhood obesity and knows the risk of inadequate nutrition in children. Families need quick, convenient and healthier alternatives. Katie is very exciting to be part of something she truly believes in.  She is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where she received my Bachelor of Arts and Writing for the Professions Certificate. Katie has worked for Joseph W. Nocito Jr, COO, for over five years in a number of specialties. She is very interested in childhood nutrition for several reasons. (1) In adolescence she was overweight and understands the causes and effects firsthand. (2) Katie has spent the past ten years educating herself on exercise and healthy eating habits making it a lifestyle not a fad which helps her to understand the struggles. (3) Additonaly Katie’s work in human resources exposed her to the problem of rising health care costs. She is worried about the detrimental effects obesity has on our health-care system and understands the imporatnce of starting healthy habits at a young age.
